Elephant Template and Instructions for Blanket

While shopping for baby cloths I've seen tons of items with cute little elephants appliqued on them, so I decided to create and share my own elephant template so that I and you could create your own elephant gear. Here is one item I found at target that would be super easy to re-create yourself:)

It's a super cute and cozy fleece blanket, I wish I had created one of my own already to share with you but I figured if you had to wait until I actually finished the blanket to share this template with you it might be Christmas before I got it posted...LOL. However the the blanket is super easy to recreate with just simple instructions.

Instructions For Blanket:

Materials:

Fleece large enough for a blanket size of your choice

Small piece of fleece for elephant and ear

Embroidery Floss (if you want to stitch around the edge of the blanket)

1.Cut out a square piece of felt to what ever sized blanket you would like, it would also be fun to round the corners.

2. Create blanket stitch around the edge of blanket with embroidery floss, this is not necessary if time is short:)

3. Cut out elephant template in coordinating fleece fabric, you can use a different color for the ear if you would like.

4. Pin ear onto elephant and stich around edges

5.Pin elephant onto blanket and stitch around edges, you may turn under the edges as you stitch for a more finished look, however fleece does not fray so turning under is not necessary.

P.S....The tail can be left off or created with emroidery floss as it is to small to re-create with fleece.

I will be the first one to admit that I'm not the best at writing tutorials so if there's anything missing or something doesn't make since please just let me know:) I wanted to share an elephant template with you so you could create your own elephant gear for your little one's:)

Vintage Cowboy Folder Labels

Whew..it's been along time since my last post..I've been stuck over in photo shop land for the past week working on a photo that is seriously driving me insane! It's a wonderful picture of my daughter that unfortunately has a light background but an extremely dark foreground, especially around her face; the face can be fixed but I lose the background......argh. I think I'm going to have to throw in the towel on this one.

Anyhow, after the request of one of my friend little boys I have put together a folder label that he say's he would enjoy more than the lollipop labels. In his words he said "I do love suckers..ummm...but do I have to put it on my folder,"...LOL:) I have also decided to create a printable in black and white in honor of my broken color printer. However, in the midst of no longer having a color printer I was able to find a local print shop that offers 15 cent color copies no matter how many pieces you print! So maybe I'll stick with that for now, professional printers always do so much better work!

Matching Lollipop Book Labels

As requested here is a set of matching Lollipop book labels to go along with my previous set of lollipop folder labels. I had went back and forth several times on this design as I wanted the book labels to be slightly different than the folder labels however in the end I decided that the good ol' saying "don't mess with a good thing," was true for this project. I just kept coming back to the original layout..hope you enjoy!

Ready For Fall? Bookplates

Although fall is one of my favorite seasons I still just don't think that I'm ready for summer to end:( Maybe it's because I know that after fall comes winter and there's nothing I hate more than being cold! If only we could skip winter.......and while I'm at it spring as well because that humid rainy weather is just not good for a girls hair..LOL. Anyhoo, here is a set of bookplates I have created for the upcoming fall season, I hope you enjoy!

** A note about this download** Some of you may or may not notice that when you download this file there may be small grid like patterns on the trees, it's wonky I know but it has to do with the pdf reader. You'll notice that as you change your zoom level the grid will disappear or change spots...it's really enough to drive you crazy! However, they will print perfectly normal! I have researched why it does this and I have found really no good answers except for that it's some sort of glitch but prints normal..hmmmm...if any ones knows how to fix this do tell it's driving me crazy....:)

Lollipop Folder Labels

I love, love, love schools supplies, I find myself scanning the school supplies section at Target aimlessly hunting for things that I do not need. However I just can't turn down a super cute pencil pouch, or a 10 pack of notebooks for only $1.00! Here is just a little something to make going back to to school fun! Maybe I'll keep to creating fun school supplies this year and stay away from those pack of markers for only .75 cents. These can be printed onto labels, sticker paper, or just plain old paper. Apple Tags

Here's my first attempt at creating a downloadable pdf file! I hope you enjoy! Please let me know how it works, I have tested the file several times by emailing it to my friends and so far so good! Hopefully, if all goes well with this first pdf attempt there will many more downloads to come. I think these little apples would also make wonderful stickers...hmmm... so I think here in the next couple of days I will re-size them to make them a tad smaller and I'll post them as a new download!
